Turkmenistan is a relatively new origin for FIBC big bags on the international market. It has two structural advantages: locally produced polypropylene (Turkmenbashi refinery complex) and a short overland route to the Caspian, Iran and Afghanistan. This guide explains what to expect when you source from here.
Specifications you should send
A complete request lets a factory quote within 24 hours. Include:
- Size and SWL — e.g. 90×90×120 cm, 1,000 kg.
- Safety factor — 5:1 for single trip, 6:1 for export with several handlings.
- Fabric — 160–180 g/m² for 1,000 kg; 200–220 g/m² for 1,500 kg. Virgin PP only.
- Loops — 4 corner loops (standard), 2 loops or 1 loop (cheaper, crane handling).
- Top / bottom — filling spout, open top with tie; discharge spout or flat bottom.
- Options — lamination, PE liner, UV stabilisation 1–3 %, print (colours).
- Volume — monthly quantity and Incoterm (FCA, CPT, CIF).
Lead time
Sample: 5–7 days after specification is agreed. Production: 25–35 days for one 40' container or one truck. Repeat orders are faster because the pattern is already set.

Certificates
Every shipment comes with a certificate of origin (ST-1 for CIS, Form A / general for other countries), a quality passport and a test report on the safety factor from the factory laboratory. Independent lab testing (SGS, Intertek) can be arranged at buyer's request; we ship free samples for your own testing first.
Minimum order
One truck (approx. 10,000–12,000 bags of 1,000 kg, depending on fabric) or one 40' container. Mixed loads with PP woven sacks are possible.
